New Mexican Restaurant, Cantina located on 4th floor at the Mall of America will have Salsa dancing every Thursday. DJ: Fatty will play salsa, merengue, bachata, and reggaeton. Free Salsa lesson at 9:00pm. Complimentary appetizer with drink purchase.

Shakopee Ballroom hosted their last ballroom dance Friday, September 26th, until New Year's Eve. Word is: their bands are playing at too many other locations now, so people aren't driving to Shakopee enough. Their New Year's Eve event is posted on my December calendar page of this website.

Rebels West Coast Swing Dance Club will be moving to the Social Dance Studio as of the Masquerade Ball on Oct. 18th. Dances will then be on regular schedule- the 1st & 3rd Sundays of every month starting Nov. 2nd. Admission will go up to $7 for members, $11 for nonmembers. There will no longer be a free dance lesson before the dances. There will be paid lessons available Sundays at 5:30pm, also held at Social Dance Studio but taught by Rebels instructors. The first official Sunday dance held at Social Dance Studio on Nov. 2nd will be free to everyone.

Thursdays: Salsa del Soul at the Times Bar & Cafe (201 E. Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis), 9:30pm-12:30am, $5.
Fridays: DJ Chino and a live band at Mi Familia Mexican Restaurant (1750 Weir Drive, Woodbury). One Friday per month: Free Salsa lesson by Tropical Ballroom at 9:00pm, dancing 10:00pm-2:00am, free cover, free margaritas for ladies- at Mi Familia Restaurant.
Saturdays: Salsabrosa at Picosa Restaurant, Salsa lesson by Social Dance Studio at 9:00pm, followed by dancing, $10 cover, validated parking with purchase.
Sundays: Eliecer Ramirez-Vargas DJs Latin variety music at Babalu Restaurant (800 Washington Ave N, Minneapolis), 8:30pm, ages 18+.
